Hello! Who are you and what business did you start?

I am Bhanu Kommula, co-founder of SP Tech. We are a Salesforce Certified consulting partner focused on helping clients from the Healthcare and Financial domain.

What's your backstory and how did you come up with the idea?

We are proud to share that we have 57+ customers across the globe, and 150+ completed projects, with a 92% success rate. And a robust team of 45+ Salesforce Trailblazers.

It all started in the year 2015. During the initial days, we (cofounders) were doing our respective jobs and were simultaneously building our new company. When we started, we had no idea what kind of IT projects, web development projects, mobile apps, or project trading apps we would deal with in the future. You can say, we were still figuring out various things.

And eventually, after spending a few years researching our business, we realized that we need to work on creating a niche. That's when we decided to put all our effort into one technology.

Then we dug more into it and we decided to work in Salesforce Technologies. That's where we built our expertise around Salesforce. We educated ourselves in Salesforce even though we had many years of background with Microsoft Technologies in our careers. We upskilled ourselves and jumped into Salesforce.

It was a lot of learning how to build a business with Salesforce. And that's how it all started and then slowly and gradually, we started getting clients who wanted to implement Salesforce.

And then we started working. We started with smaller clients, mid-level, mid, mid-size businesses but eventually we ended up getting an enterprise level of clients. So that's how.

We came up with the idea of services that we offer, to our clients and solve their problems.

While we work to offer solutions to businesses, we come up with a lot of best practices in implementing Salesforce. Also, there are a lot of other product ideas which we work on (Apart from Salesforce implementation).

Currently, we have created a product where we can integrate Salesforce with DocuSign. We have implemented this for a number of our clients.

So, it's basically, having exposure to so many different implementations for our client side. We have worked with several insurance clients, mortgage clients, healthcare clients, etc. And while coming up with the solution for our clients, we develop our expertise and strive to implement Salesforce using all the best practices and processes.

Describe the process of launching the business.

The process of the launch was the result of our hard work. We worked on our website with the help of the experts on our team. Finally, the website came out and after almost one year, we worked on building website traffic.

Gradually social media helped us grow, and over the period we started getting clients of course through B2B social media platforms. However, cut to present times, we are getting good traffic to our website and some promising leads too from the website itself.

It was a lot of learning how to build a business with Salesforce. And that's how it all started and then slowly and gradually, we started getting clients who wanted to implement Salesforce.

And then we started working. We started with smaller clients, mid-level, mid, mid-size businesses but eventually we ended up getting an enterprise level of clients. So that's how.

Since we are a SAAS-based company, we got most of our traction after the launch of basic websites and official social media handles. LinkedIn has helped us a lot in growing, as we are B2B.
We ran many campaigns online on websites as well as social media handles to gain the attention of probable clients and help them utilize Salesforce in the best way possible.

We started our journey with Salesforce, but at this point now we are top-rated on AppExchange, we are top-rated on many other reputable sites like Clutch G2.

Since launch, what has worked to attract and retain customers?

Our clients say it all! Well, just to mention a few, we provide a dedicated project manager to our clients. We focus on daily meetings or say Daily tag-ups and constant communication. Another thing that makes us special is our competitive pricing processes.

Configuration, customization, and other technical labor are required to use Salesforce CRM to automate your client relations, listing management, client information, advertising, and other business activities.

Our experts believe in checking the system thoroughly to ensure that it follows the agreed-upon strategy and does what it is supposed to. Through starting the business, have you learned anything particularly helpful or advantageous?

I would say it will be understanding all the business use cases. Sometimes we have observed that clients themselves know their business, but they don't know how to put together all the use cases and maybe the community.

And lack of communication may be another challenge. Yeah, lack of communication and no defining proper requirements.

### What platform/tools do you use for your business?

We mainly use Salesforce but use a bunch of platforms depending on the need of the clients and businesses.

For example, we use insurance raters, and other insurance related platforms to help our clients with insurance. And in the same way, we use platforms specific to the healthcare domain to help our clients in the healthcare domain.

What have been the most influential books, podcasts, or other resources?
