Hello! Who are you and what business did you start?

Hey! I’m Natasha Zoryk, 3x founder, ex-designer, and agency owner, turned business mentor and speaker. I’m currently in the works of building my 3rd business, an app for the online industry (you can join the waitlist here so you don’t miss out on the big drop & demo day).

I serve online-based founders, helping them scale their brands, profit from their potential, and master their minds. My signature program is No Figures to 6 Figure, it has served hundreds of founders and is known to help you sustainably scale your business and scale it YOUR way.

Alongside my base program, I offer a wide range of live mentoring from my 6 Figures to 7 Figures Mastermind and the fan fav, my 2-month-long Minimind called The Sales Expert Minimind. On the DIY front, I have a variety of passive offers and masterclasses for you to dive into!

I currently generate close to 2 million dollars per year and over 6 figures in cash per month.

What's your backstory and how did you come up with the idea?

My entrepreneurial journey all started back in 2019 when I was 21, right about to graduate from the University of Ottawa. At the time, I was in a secure 9-5, government job and offered a $61K salary job 3 months before I walked that stage to collect my shiny and “impressive” diploma.

Although it was the dream of most, I couldn’t help but feel so incredibly disconnected from what I was doing and where I was headed. It wasn’t until one of my friends, who owned a successful cosmetic clinic in town, saw my website that I made. She asked if I’d be willing to design her website for free and her seemingly small favor turned my entire existence and life path completely around.

After launching her site, the inquiries came flooding in and I turned my website into a business one overnight. Fast forward one month after launching my business, I had earned $10K cash– I couldn’t believe it, this type of money wasn’t even on my radar at the time.

After many months of success, referrals flowing in, and 6 short months, I hit over 6 figures. By then, I had expanded my business from a designer to a digital marketing and design agency. Launching passive courses, speaking, and rapidly growing online, I realized there was way more out there, a bigger purpose you could say.

At the end of 2020, I closed shop and pivoted into a business mentor and speaker. A little over a year into this pivot, I hit 7 figures and now, multi-7 figures.

I have the honor of mentoring thousands of women, stepping on stage, and sharing my disruptive marketing methods with the world.

Take us through the process of building the first version of your product.

My first-ever passive offer was SUCH a success. I created The Instagram Kit back in 2019, this was a digital e-book on how to grow and scale your online business leveraging Instagram as your “digital storefront”.

It was a total of 11 chapters and over 100 pages–it came about after months and months of success, 6 figures in sales, and endless DM conversations on, “HOW???”, that’s where the idea blossomed and I turned my most frequent success and questions into a sellable product.

The research came from my experience, trial and error, failures, and biggest wins, I formulated all of that hard hitting data into the e-book, it was incredibly attention grabbing because growing on IG was ALL the rave then.

It went over the basics of IG SEO, bio setup, content, hashtags, story strategies, grid content ideas, visibility plans, and aesthetics prompts, and at the time, all of these topics were either the number 1 desires and problems consumers were having or were about to be–this drove SO much interest to my product.

It all started in Canva, where I designed the PDF download, created a sales page on Wix, and added it to my go high-level system with an upsell to another course of mine.

Although it turned out over time to be a huge success, authority builder, and revenue generator, the “first launch” of this offer was such a flop! Not a SINGLE person bought it and when I take a moment to reflect on the WHY, it was because I completely content shocked my audience.

I had a dash of delusion and WAY too much confidence you could say hahaha, I truly thought I would create the offer, I’d announce the offer, and people would flock–yeah, quickly realized that is certainly NOT the case! This is where modern, digital marketing started to become my hyper fixation.

I viewed, watched, and analyzed books, podcasts, top creators, articles, etc on digital marketing and IG marketing, I tested, primed, and ultimately made up my own framework to “launch on Instagram” – through 60 days of content, a live event on IG, email funnels, a lead generator, DM outreach, hashtags, a visibility/PR plan, it all fell into pace and I took my knowledge, and failures, and adapted quickly and succeeded even quicker!

A few short months after this social media monstrosity, I launched my second passive offer, Passive Profits, and had a $54K launch + earned $20K in upsell sales due to The Instagram Kit.

This all occurred because of my big push on Instagram and constant posting/selling + my email marketing funnels that did the heavy lifting in the back-end. Over time, the Instagram Kit generated thousands of dollars via public speaking, funnels, and my omnipresent channels.

Such a great reminder to take your failures as the BIGGEST and BEST teachers, it allows you to directly see your blindspots and refine them. Reposition your offer and marketing, and you could very well be sitting on your million-dollar idea–turns out, you just needed a few tweaks!!

Your brand needs to be the shining star – pick 3-5 items you want to be known for and infuse this into your marketing, programs, website, copy, messaging, and everywhere.

Describe the process of launching the business.

The launch of my business felt seemingly exciting yet also like another Tuesday! When I did it, it occurred because of the big influx of inquiries after my friend's website went live.

The idea of turning this small favor into a 7 figure success wasn’t even at the forefront of my 21-year-old mind!

However, I genuinely believe this was my calling and my reality shifted before I could even grasp it. One inquiry turned into another and every single day, I grew my digital footprint, from growing my email list to launching a Facebook group (now closed), a podcast, doing PR sprints, and so much more.

A few months in of testing, failing, and succeeding, I was looking at a multi-6-figure business. It was truly through trial and error and pure consistency and passion within each social media post that went out.

With all that said, my big “debut” and the launch was a janky post on Facebook, announcing to my peers and colleagues + my 120-follower IG account, it was a small moment that QUICKLY turned into a massive global success.

The hilarious “launch”:

Since launch, what has worked to attract and retain customers?

My biggest tips for growing a “cult-like” following and creating incredible client retention are:

1) Listen to my podcast episode called, “Hot Take: How to Build a “Cult” Like Following”

2) Sales psychology and buyer behavior – this is one of the most important aspects of your sales and marketing plan. If you’re selling to humans, master the human mind

3) Your brand needs to be the shining star – pick out 3-5 items you want to be known for and infuse this into your marketing, programs, website, copy, messaging, and everywhere – make your story a catalyst to your greatest successes

4) Don’t talk to all, talk to one – this is such a small tip, but one of the most important, talk in the first person, not the third. Consumers see themselves as the main character so place them in the exact role. On socials, emails, etc

5) Have a beautiful, cohesive customer journey within your suite, offerings, of services – make sure you create offers where clients CAN come back and take that next step with you and your community – this is also called the bandwagon effect in sales psychology

6) Client experience and genuine relationship building is king–ALWAYS delight your people with stellar systems, customization, loving communication, and wow factors within all aspects and steps in your onboarding to onboarding processes.

Don’t be everywhere all at once – focus on max 2 channels. Master those and be CONSISTENT before you expand – unless you hire a team to take the workload

How are you doing today and what does the future look like?

We’re doing amazing! 2023 is on pace to be a multi-million dollar year, in Q1 alone, we hit over half a million dollars in sales and over $300K in cash–it was amazing!!!

As of now, the big runner-up is the app we are designing. It is going to be in your hands, in your business, and the industry by the end of 2023 and early 2024. This is going to be one of the first events this online space has seen, we’re revolutionizing the way we work and filling not 1, but 3 MAJOR gaps within the space and work that we do.

Legally, we cannot give too many details as of yet, but you can keep up and be the first to know by joining the waitlist.

We drop a weekly email where I unpack the journey, raw emotions, and in-real-time updates! It’s a beautiful journey to be a part of and you’re going to benefit SO much from this creation.

On the mentorship side of things, we are expanding into more of the passive realm + booking more speaking gigs. Keep your eyes peeled for all that is dropping, it’s a ton! You can join the list + get a taste of some of our sales psychology goodies by signing up for this free buyer psych-infused script/prompt – enjoy!!

Through starting the business, have you learned anything particularly helpful or advantageous?

This business has taught and grown me more than I could have ever imagined. The biggest lesson is that your greatness truly lies on the other side of your most uncomfortable and audacious moves.

Public speaking used to be my BIGGEST fear, but I turned that fear into my best 7 figure asset and passion and zest in life. That ONE time I decided to say yes to being a keynote speaker at a luxury event, changed my life forever, but I have never been more terrified in my life.

Don’t confuse fear and your divine path with self-sabotaging behaviors. If you catch yourself going through the motions and feeling incredibly at ease, you’re doing something wrong.

My lesson for you is, to ask yourself weekly, how can I further step into the unknown and disrupt my current belief system and habits? What would my 7 figure self do?

Act as them NOW, not when you are them.

What platform/tools do you use for your business?

Go HighLevel supports 80% of my business. I cut my costs and software down by over 75% because of this all-in-one platform! It hosts everything from CRM, text marketing, emails, funnels, programs, upsells, analytics, etc – sign up and get a 2-week free trial here or use the code natashazoryk at checkout!

What have been the most influential books, podcasts, or other resources?

I have a whole Amazon List ready to go for you!! Enjoy and happy shopping.

Advice for other entrepreneurs who want to get started or are just starting out?

1) GROW THAT EMAIL LIST!

Sounds cliche, but please don’t scale solely on rented digital space aka Instagram.

If you dread it, outsource at least that from day one. There is so much power in growing that asset and participating in the norm of reciprocity in sales psych.

2) Don’t be everywhere all at once – focus on max 2 channels. Master those and be CONSISTENT before you expand – unless you hire a team to take the workload
