Who are you and what business did you start?

Hey there, I'm Mark! I recently turned 19 and currently running a design agency on Twitter/X.

The agency is called Skale.solutions, and we work with Seed/Series A startups (mostly in the SaaS sphere) to help them go from 1 to 10. We provide all kinds of design & development services, such as Web design, Product design, Logo/Branding, Motion design, Design audits, and development of complex platforms.

Most agencies promise "high-converting websites". We build the ones that give significant results to the business. We design sites that people want to click, want to share, and can’t ignore. Our websites look like they cost $100K+ — but they don’t.

Right now we bring in around $30k/month.

We plan to scale to $80k/month by the end of this year and work with bigger clients!

How do you come up with the idea for Skale.solutions?

I've been working in the UI/UX sphere for basically 5 years, juggling low-paying freelance work and some remote part-time opportunities. I always had the idea of building my own agency, learning how to sell, and just doing 'real' business.

I opened my first agency with friends in the middle of 2023; it wasn't successful. Opened another one in the beginning of 2024 and started regularly posting on X, but still no leads.

But in November of 2024, I decided to give it a last try. Changed my content strategy all over and partnered up with the best specialists in the sphere. It worked out immediately, we started getting from 3 to 10 leads each week just from my posts and couldn't handle the demand.

I designed a new website and new logo within 2 days (still haven't changed since), started practicing sales on the calls, and tested every marketing strategy there is on earth.

How did you launch Skale.solutions and get initial traction?

I didn't overthink my launch. Just made a few posts saying that I have a new partner and shared our new landing page. That's it.

But I already failed twice before, so I needed to consider doing something different this time.

I started focusing on clients and their problems more directly. I made tons of breakdowns of high-converting landings, guides on UX design, and just shared all the knowledge I've had.

As Alex Hormozi says, "Giveaway the secrets, sell the implementation."

In other words, I switched my content in the way that I just started sharing all of my experience that I had from 5 years of experience in design, and then just positioned myself as the nearest solution.

The first sale I got was after 2 weeks of going live. I was extremely nervous on the call, but still managed to close a client for $1200 for a single landing.

What was the growth strategy for Skale.solutions and how did you scale?

So to be clear, 100% of my leads are inbound. I’ve started my brand creation on X/Twitter and was just testing any possible idea I could find. The posts that brought me the most amount of leads are always when I did something for free publicly and added some backstory to it.

I did redesigns for whop.com, acquisition.com, ecomflow.com, tesla.com, etc. All of them got 100k+ views and generated me a consistent flow and even made Alex Hormozi himself comment under my redesign.

Another strategy is sharing your expertise in either threads (doing step-by-step guides in other words) or doing some quick visual breakdowns (for instance, I had a really high-converting layout for SaaS landings and just shared it publicly)

The best thing is that there are infinite variations of these principles, and in my opinion, they work in every niche known on earth. It’s similar to these guys on TikTok who offer free pressure washing in the neighbourhood and then record it so they get tens or even hundreds of leads from this post alone.

The best combination is when you make your content interesting for the clients and catchy at the same time. And 3D motion animations perform the best in that case. If I started all over again, I’d spend all of my time trying to showcase my services, previous works, and free redesigns in motion. Animations perform insanely good and have one of the best conversion rates out of thousands of posts that I did to get clients.

What were the biggest lessons learned from building Skale.solutions?

Finding the right people to work with is the most crucial part of every stable business. The only reason why I succeeded with my agency this time was because I partnered up with a guy who was 10 times better than I in terms of design.

One thing that I'd avoid is trying to automate every little part of your business, it just doesn't make any sense unless you're running a 7-figure business. I've always wanted to save some time using Zapier, and I've made a huge mistake when I wanted to delegate the process of creating content writing threads on my account. As a result, almost no views for a few weeks, and was at its lowest in terms of the clients.

Never delegate or automate something that your business relies on. We're currently at $30k/mo, but I still do write, create, and manage all the content you see on my feed. As well as I'm still the one who goes on the calls instead of hiring a sales guy.
