About The Business

What problem is Peoplelogic solving?

Managers want to be able to use the data they have at their fingertips to make better decisions about how to run their team, but in companies of all sizes, that data is rarely consumable or actionable. — Matthew Schmidt, CEO and founder Peoplelogic (Source)

Idea

How did Matthew Schmidt get the idea for Peoplelogic?

Matthew Schmidt came up with the idea for PeopleLogic.ai based on his experiences with DZone (now Devada). During DZone's rapid growth, he noticed the common issue of promoting high-performing team members to management without proper training or tools, which often led to problems.

Recognizing that companies generate vast amounts of data about their teams through various technology platforms, he saw an opportunity to leverage this data to support newly promoted managers and improve organizational effectiveness.

Over the years of growing DZone we very often erred on the side of giving high performing team members the opportunity to be managers. After our exit, I spent a lot of time talking to other companies going through similar stages of growth and found they had similar philosophies around promoting from within. — Matthew Schmidt, CEO and founder Peoplelogic (Source)
