My Weekend AI Project Hit $16K/Month In Just 3 Months
Who are you and what business did you start?
My name is Jure, and I am the founder of ParakeetAI. Our company developed a real-time AI Interview Assistant that listens to your job interviews and generates answers using ChatGPT.
Although this idea is not new, we have approached it differently than others by primarily focusing on organic short-form content marketing. Since organic content is free, we don't pay Meta or Google and have very high margins.
I developed the project's MVP over a weekend and started selling it within three weeks. We launched about three months ago and just hit our first €1,000 revenue day.

How do you come up with the idea for ParakeetAI?
When looking for an idea, I focused on choosing a product that could naturally go viral—something interesting, surprising, or that gets people talking.
The plan was to market it using organic short-form content like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and similar platforms.
My last project, WrumerSound, was an e-commerce brand selling car gadgets. It followed this same idea and was very successful, gaining nearly 200 million views across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Reels over the past year.
Since I’ve worked in e-commerce before, I know how challenging logistics can be. That’s why I’m now more interested in SaaS ideas than in starting another e-commerce business.

How did you build the initial version of ParakeetAI?
The first step was to analyze the competition and determine exactly what they offer, what I could replicate, and what I could improve.
I then spent three days creating a proof-of-concept product that could transcribe a call, feed the transcription into ChatGPT, and, of course, handle payment collection. The product is built using NextJS, with Stripe for payments, Speechmatics for transcription, and ChatGPT for generating responses.
During development, I focused on keeping the product minimal, so we could launch as quickly as possible to gather feedback before investing significant time in building complex features.
The next step was to create a landing page. I hired an agency for approximately €1,000 to design and develop a landing page using Webflow.
Once the product was live and ready to accept payments, we created social media accounts and started posting videos. For the most part, we studied our competition and replicated strategies that proved successful for them.

How did you launch ParakeetAI and get initial traction?
There was no major "launch," per se.
From the beginning, we knew we wanted to advertise through organic social media, so we focused our efforts there. We also realized that customers would start coming in once our videos went viral, which is exactly what happened.
The response to the product has been mixed; there is significant controversy around using AI during job interviews. However, this controversy aligns with our strategy of building an "intricately viral product."
We made our first sale within the first week of going live. Making your first sale from a product is always incredibly exciting. Most projects never reach that point, and it’s a crucial step in validating that what you’ve built has the potential to be successful.
What was the growth strategy for ParakeetAI and how did you scale?
We focus on what works, primarily by producing more short-form videos across multiple channels. Currently, we consistently produce two videos per day, but we plan to increase this to ten videos per day in the coming months.
I want to emphasize the power of an "intrinsically viral" product paired with organic short-form content. Over time, paid ads have become increasingly expensive, making them extremely challenging to run profitably.
In contrast, organic short-form content can offers similar reach to paid ads while being free. It often converts better, as customers perceive it as more "authentic."

Regarding other marketing channels, I’ve posted extensively on Reddit. While it has driven some sales, the overall impact has been limited.
We’ve also experimented with Google Ads, which have shown promising results. This success suggests that SEO could be a valuable long-term strategy. However, since SEO takes time to gain traction and generate significant revenue, we haven’t prioritized it yet.
Additionally, we are exploring various AI tools in the "job-seeking" space to broaden our offerings and increase revenue.
What were the biggest lessons learned from building ParakeetAI?
Starting a business is tough, especially mentally. Before you succeed, it’s easy to doubt yourself and wonder if what you’re doing is pointless or if it will ever work.
But once you make your first bit of money online, it’s an amazing feeling. It gives you energy and confidence that’s hard to describe.
My advice? Focus entirely on making that first sale. Don’t worry about scaling or big goals at the start—put all your effort into achieving that one win. Once you do, the motivation and confidence you gain will make the next steps much easier. After that, aim for 10 sales, then 100, and so on.
This approach helps you avoid getting stuck building incomplete or unfocused products that don’t sell because you lose motivation. Start small, prove your concept, and let that first sale drive you forward.
