Hello again! Remind us who you are and what business you started.

I’m Tracie Fobes and I run the site, TracieFobes.com. In 2019 I sold my first site and moved into coaching and selling courses and printables. The big course I sell is called Product Perfection.

I teach bloggers how to diversify their income by selling digital products. My course teaches them how to not only create printables but also the pricing and marketing necessary to increase their profits.

You have to be willing to try and even more willing to fail. Failure is never the end.

Tell us about what you’ve been up to! Has the business been growing?

Since I last visited with you, we’ve increased our sales to the course by 21%!

And how did I do that? Funnels!! I updated the opt-ins and funnels on my site. When readers sign up for my awesome freebie, they go into a funnel that gives them the info they need as well as a discount to my course.

Even with the popularity of the course, it is in the midst of a large update that will make it more appealing (and helpful) to the students who sign up to take it.

Here’s the opt-in that is on the site that gets people signing up nearly every time they read my article!

What have been your biggest lessons learned in the last year?

Over the past 12+ months, I spent time overhauling every email funnel on my site. What I had written previously was not converting. It did not connect with my reader.

I began with the freebie. I pared down to offer only a few products for free. Then, I created hyper-relevant funnels. I now share how to use the lead magnet I sent to them and then also a few golden nuggets to help them pull the pieces together.

That leads them to the sales page which has been converting at around 5-7%.

I also promote myself more inside of my Facebook group (I was bad about that before). I get members signing up to take the courses and buy my products there as well.

What’s in the plans for the upcoming year, and the next 5 years?

I am in the process of updating every course by moving to a platform that offers a better user experience. It will also include updated videos and lessons so my new (and existing) students know they are getting the most up-to-date information. There is nothing worse than buying a course that has not been touched by the admin.

My 1 year goal is 15% income growth and My goal over the next five years is to get my overall monthly sales to exceed more than $25,000.

Advice for other entrepreneurs who might be struggling to grow their business?

You have to be willing to try and even more willing to fail. Failure is never the end. Instead, it should be used as a tool for you to know what does not work so you can pivot to find what will help you achieve your goals.

When I started my coaching business and selling products, I had no idea if I would well anything at all. Here I am, 2 years into it full time and I continue seeing continued growth in conversions every single month.

I’m not special. I am just like everyone else. I have made more mistakes than I can even count but I never let them lead me to quit. Nope! They were stepping stones I used for my growth and success.
