Tell us about what you’ve been up to! Has the business been growing?

Since last talking with Starter story our business has grown approx 150%, this has been remarkable working through Covid-19.

Create wealth, but first, understand this. Wealth does not mean money when you understand this and pivot your perspective, then you will be truly successful.

We have consistently adjusted and tuned our website to achieve better rankings on Google.

We have laser-focused on just SEO and providing an amazing customer experience. These are the 2 main channels with the highest ROI so we focus on them.

Through these channels, we are seeing a 26% customer retention rate which is good as our product can be a one-off purchase for many customers.

What have been your biggest lessons learned in the last year?

What we learned last year was SIT TIGHT stay steady and take the time to improve what we already had in place. When Covid hit I said to my partner

“This is it the event I told you about, if anything bad was going to happen its happening for everyone, so we knuckle down, stay calm and pivot when we need to” we did and profited during covid.

We learned that being a smaller company, being agile as we manage everything in-house, marketing, SEO, etc we could pivot quickly and we did, offering other products to make up the gap in sales.

In being a small unit we could see, plan, execute and monitor very quickly with some good networking. We secured some strong contracts for supplies of fabric gowns and sold those as needed to a small network we built through existing contacts.

We survived, didn't take any government assistance, and toughed it out and we came out on top we did better than I ever thought we could.

The biggest thing learned is, Fear is the enemy of the small business owner/entrepreneur we said screw fear we are doing this. Made a plan and did it.

What’s in the plans for the upcoming year, and the next 5 years?

We plan to expand through the acquisition of other businesses and build a larger portfolio of online presence in other niche markets.

Long term, I am very excited to see Logoclothz grow and build on it, as well as use the profits generated to create other businesses that will create more jobs for people, give back through donations and follow the Logoclothz customer experience model.

Short term, designing new proprietary software to assist our conversion funnel and new marketing strategy. We will be looking for a new Social media strategy as we have neglected that in place of SEO as ROI is harder to measure via social channels.

Also integrating GA4 Google analytics and GSC Google search console into blended data streams so we can get better data-driven decisions, as speed metrics for CWV (Google core webs vitals).

Have you read any good books in the last year?

Yes, many, Steve Jobs good book and a very amazing way to look at the world. The biology of belief is currently on my nightstand. I have just started it but am hooked.

I also love Jess Shepard on youtube her meditation and positive affirmation videos are amazing and I listen to one every night.

Advice for other entrepreneurs who might be struggling to grow their business?

Understand that if you want to start a business then you need to truly start a business, don’t create a job for yourself.

Create wealth, but first, understand this. Wealth does not mean money when you understand this and pivot your perspective, then you will be truly successful.

Wealth covers many aspects and every aspect of your life, relationships, business, and personal life. Your wife, your husband, and your kids embrace it all in all its chaos.

Figure out how to help people make their life easier, and better, and remember there is only one you. Never let fear stop you EVER.
