How We Increased Our Brand Through SEO
This is a follow up story for Pioneer Mobile Applications. If you're interested in reading how they got started, published over 5 years ago, check it out here.
Hello again! Remind us who you are and what business you started.
Hello! My name is Phil Scarfi and I am the founder of Pioneer Mobile Applications. We are a one-stop-shop for bringing mobile app ideas to life. We have a unique process that we refer to as the Lean App Methodology that helps our clients make the most out of their idea and sets them up for the most success. We work with both small and large businesses from around the world and we are with our clients the entire journey from the idea stage to launch and everything in between.
We have worked on hundreds of different apps and have seen what works and what doesn’t work. Pioneer stress tests each idea and sets it up to help make our client’s thousands of dollars. Some of our clients are making thousands of dollars by just having the app on the app store. It’s insane!
Tell us about what you’ve been up to! Has the business been growing?
Since we last spoke, businesses have continued to grow. One of our most frequent ways of getting inbound leads is through SEO (Search Engine Optimization). The team spends countless hours working on building our rankings for search engines such as Google. We continue to work to ensure that people that are looking to build an app are pointed in our direction. A lot goes into this, but one of the most important aspects of building SEO would be creating content that is meaningful and useful to potential customers.
Being successful isn’t supposed to be easy, if it was everyone would be trying to do the same thing you are doing.
Another step we have taken to increase engagement in our brand is to hire a dedicated social media team. We currently have team members working on building our social media presence on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. In today’s digital age, it is critical to find a way to fit your brand into these platforms. People spend hundreds of hours on social media every month and it is vital to try to capture their attention there.
A good portion of our clients is also past clients. Because of this, it is important to maintain a good working relationship with them and give 110% to our clients all the time. Many times we will help our clients out without any costs associated with anything. We consider ourselves successful when we see our clients being successful.
What have been your biggest lessons learned in the last year?
With times being so different now compared to ever before, one major lesson I have learned is to stay on top of new trends. If we want to keep a steady flow of leads coming to your direction, you have to present yourself to these people in the places that they are already looking for. Find content that is relevant and figure out how you can fit your business model into that.
Another major lesson learned is to keep pushing forward. There are certain things that are out of your control. Nobody would know that there would be a Pandemic, affecting millions of businesses worldwide, but by pushing through tough times like this will only make everything else down the road much easier.
What’s in the plans for the upcoming year, and the next 5 years?
This year we are planning on continuing our social media push and getting our brand in front of millions of eyes. We aren’t stopping here though, we are working to provide content for our customers, potential customers, or anyone interested in mobile app development with insights and knowledge to help set them up for success.
Pioneer is also working on building our own platforms that will be launched within the coming years to solve everyday challenges and help connect communities around the world.
Advice for other entrepreneurs who might be struggling to grow their business?
Keep pushing forward! Most people who give up make it 95% of the way and stop. All you have to do is push through that final 5% and you’re golden. Being successful isn’t supposed to be easy, if it was everyone would be trying to do the same thing you are doing.
At the same time to pushing through to succeed, make sure you know what you will consider successful. Everyone has different metrics on this, and it is critical for you to know your own metric.
When it comes to mobile app development, the biggest mistake I see people making is not validating their idea before they get started. You might think you have the best app idea in the world, but if you didn’t validate that idea with other people, the only person who thinks that is you. Do your research and don’t be afraid to share your idea with other friends and family.
Are you looking to hire for certain positions right now?
